Philosophy & Mission

Veritas NGA grammar school teacher instructing students in Dawsonville classroom

Our Philosophy

Veritas Classical Schools of North Georgia acknowledges that children are gifts from the Lord, created in His image, and entrusted to their parents for nurture and instruction. We believe that education is ultimately the responsibility of parents, and we exist to come alongside families in this sacred task.

Our philosophy of education is rooted in the classical tradition — the time-tested approach that produced some of the greatest thinkers, leaders, and communicators in Western civilization. We integrate this classical methodology with a thoroughly Christian worldview, recognizing that all truth is God’s truth.

Our Mission

The mission of Veritas Classical Schools is to serve Christian homeschool families by providing an excellent classical education rooted in the Christian faith. We seek to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and a lifelong love of learning in every student, equipping them to think clearly, communicate effectively, and live faithfully as servants of Christ.

We accomplish this mission through the Trivium — the three stages of classical learning:

  • Grammar Stage — laying the foundation of knowledge through memorization and observation
  • Logic Stage — developing critical thinking and analytical reasoning
  • Rhetoric Stage — mastering the art of clear and persuasive communication
